Strategic outsourcing company, MITIE provides integrated facilities management for world-renowned power systems provider, Rolls Royce. It spans across 56 of its sites in seven countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa. One of these sites is situated at Patchway 6 miles north of Bristol. This aero-engine plant currently employs 3500 personnel, it was announced in November 2014, it would be receiving a £18 million investment to enable it to maintain, repair and overhaul the TP400 engine for the Airbus A400 military transport plane. The site has been upgraded in recent years as part of a £75M redevelopment by the defence contractor to make it one of Rolls Royce’s most modern and advanced facilities in the country, parts of the plant date back to the 1950s. This makes the maintenance of the 100+ building access points a challenge since they vary in size, construction and technology. Since this is a high-security site, MITIE must provide a rapid maintenance and repair solution 24/7.

This combined with their NVQ Level 2 Door Qualifications, enables the HAG engineers capable of fixing any issues that may arise with the onsite high-security doors and shutters with minimal disruption to the plant’s ongoing work. With the site requiring high-level security at all times, HAG teams are able to offer a 1 – 2 hour call out response 24 hours a day in order to provide a quick solution to the site’s needs.
