The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA)
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) was created on 1st April 2014 by merging the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with our client, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA). The VOSA provided a large range of services with the general aim of improving road safety for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and public service vehicles (PSVs).
In order to do this, they carry out regular inspections at their testing sites of HGVs and PSVs to ensure they are fit and safe to be on the road.
VOSA has over 60 testing sites across the UK and provided the challenge to HAG to attend these sites for emergency repairs with a 2 – 4 hour response time. HAG rose to and met this challenge, consistently meeting VOSA’s KPIs. It was critical that VOSA minimised downtime for its bay doors due the high importance of their tasks, which meant HAG had to provide maintenance quickly and efficiently.
HAG has been the sole supplier for carrying out planned maintenance, repairs, reactive repairs and new installation throughout the UK since 2003. To meet the needs of VOSA, HAG manufactured and installed: Roller Shutters, Sliding Folding Doors, Traffic Calming & Stopping Systems, Sectional Overhead Doors, Steel Doors and Industrial Roller Shutters. HAG’s involvement provided regular inspection for trouble-free operation in their 6 day working week.
