Costa Coffee in Bristol has certainly been in the news. The national coffee-shop chain, owned by Whitbread, has been expanding its presence in the city, with one local franchise expanding to 4 outlets. For HAG this has grown into a close working relationship as we have supplied the local franchisee with security shutters and industrial doors since the opening of their first premises in Portishead.
For the shopfronts: steel roller-type security shutters.
To protect the main entrance and glass frontage, a variety of types of roller shutter have been used across the four branches. In most cases the shutters are the type with punched slots for maximum visibility throughout the store. At on branch, solid roller shutters were chosen to provide even more protection against the chance of damage.
Naturally, these are required in Costa Coffee colours. The steel shutter components are powder-coated in a bespoke colour to match the hue used on all branded materials. This colour matching is something we are used to doing for national and international brands, where visual recognition is a key part of their brand equity.
For the rear of the premises: steel industrial doors.
The rear doors simply required strong security and reliability, meaning that steel industrial doors are the ideal installation. They offer the right combination of strength, simplicity and low maintenance.
Why franchisees choose HAG for security doors and shutters
Like Costa Coffee, many international brands use local franchisees to grow their operations area by area. Although standards are set centrally, decisions and budgets are set locally. This is why franchisees looking for best combination of cost, product choice, installation expertise and lowest hassle frequently make HAG their choice.
