Under the Building Safety Act 2022, buildings classified as Higher-Risk—typically those over 18 m or with more than six storeys—must comply with stricter safety management and documentation requirements. The Act places responsibility on the designated “responsible person” to ensure that all safety-critical elements, including, but not limited to, doors, are correctly specified, installed, maintained, and documented.
