Description
The Fireguard FG roller shutters are a range of fire protection barriers that automatically operate in an emergency situation once a signal is received from a fire alarm system. The Fireguard FG Range is a fire roller shutter that can be specified as:
• 1 hour fire protection. FG01
• 2 hour fire protection. FG02
• 4 hour fire protection. FG04
Constructed to the latest safety standards BS EN 1634-1 & compliant to BS EN 16034:2014 this electric roller shutter is manufactured from 76mm cold rolled 20 gauge galvanised steel sections.
The fireguard FG shutters are safety device’s that form a protection barrier against the spread of property fire for up to 4 hours and can be linked to many closing requirements such as audio alarm, visual beacon, time delay or subject to local fire officers advice. Common use
The Fireguard FG Range roller shutter is best used in kitchen survery areas, warehouses, commercial areas here fire segregation is needed yet walk through or general day to day access is required.

Operation
Electrically operated through industrial grade 1 phase motor controlled by up/stop/close controller. Auto Reset solenoid for integration with fire alarm to enable the motor to automatically unbrake and close under controlled decent. FCP03 Fire panel which can be interconnected to the Fire Alarm to allow closing when receiving fire signal. Audio visual warning and timer delay. Further safety devices are available, dependant on requirements and operational circumstances.
Important note: Maintenance of fire shutters is required under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 005 for companies. Failure to do so may invalidate insurance cover and building fire certification under the control of the local fire officer.
It is essential that the structural surround to the opening has a fire rating of at least the equivalent to the fireguard product specified and is sufficient for fixings to ensure fully compliant installation.
FIRAS INSTALLER CERTIFICATION SCHEME
HAG Is accredited to install this fire protection product by Warrington fire through its FIRAS installation certificate scheme.
FIRAS is the mark of endorsement of competency in the installation of products and systems, vital for achieving the protection required and is accredited by UKAS to BS EN ISO/IEC 17065:2012.
Insurances could be invalid if proof of a competent product installer is not verified.
