What are you looking for when you first open an architect’s specification?

HAG reviews the specification and project information to understand what the door or shutter needs to achieve and whether the proposed solution is technically appropriate.
This can include checking requirements such as dimensions, operation, fire performance, security ratings, thermal or acoustic performance, relevant British/European Standards and certification requirements.
The level of information received varies considerably between projects. Some arrive with a clear and detailed specification, while others may provide limited information or simply identify that a door or shutter is required without defining the full technical requirements.
Where information is missing or unclear, HAG raises queries and works with the project team to establish what is required.
